Swiss Alps and Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
It rained the whole day during our journey to our campsite at Lauterbrunnen. The next morning, it was still drizzling, but alhamdulillah, it stopped during our journey by train up the swiss alps. I decided not to go to the peak, jungfraujoch (highest peak in europe) because of 2 reasons: it was too expensive (120 swiss francs = 60 gbp) and secondly, the weather was not good. It was too foggy, we wouldn't be able to see the view from up there. So 2 of my friends and I chose to go to the cheapest destination: Kleine Scheidegg. We had to pay 40 swiss francs = 20 gbp for that. It's supposed to have a picturesque view: green field with the view of the snowy mountains around it. Unfortunately, due to the thick fog, we couldn't even see the snowy mountains. Our view was limited to only about 50 metres! sigh... and it was freezing! So we just went into a cafe to have some drinks and snacks, and I wrote a postcard to my family in Malaysia. Then on our way down the alps we stopped by at a small town called Wengen. But since it was lunchtime at the time, so all the shops were closed. We just went to look around at the beautiful buildings and scenery.

Later, we went down and took a bus to trummelbachfalle, a beautiful glacier waterfall in a cave. There were 10 waterfalls altogether in the cave, and we had to pay 10 swiss francs to enter (1 swiss franc for each waterfall, hmm...). It was worth it, the waterfalls were so beautiful. Subhanallah... Later, we went to the Lauterbrunnen town and did some shopping. Switzerland is famous for its high quality swiss army knives (the price are quite cheap there) and watches.
